Delhi Technological University (DTU), formerly known as Delhi College of Engineering (DCE), was established in 1941 as Delhi Polytechnic to provide technical education in India. In 1952, the institution became affiliated with the University of Delhi and was later reconstituted into a non-affiliating State University by the Government of NCT of Delhi under the Delhi Technological University Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 6 of 2009). DTU is a premier engineering and research-focused university that offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes across engineering, technology, design, sciences, and management. It operates from its main administrative and academic campus at Bawana Road in North West Delhi, alongside an East Delhi Campus housing the University School of Management and Entrepreneurship (USME).
